Events: Another Blazing Weekend!

We were pleased to cater the La Costa Meadows Elementary School PTO's Spring Chuckwagon Dinner and Dance Fundraiser this weekend. Given the heat, we probably could have cooked hot dogs and hamburgers on the blacktop this weekend ... whew, what a scorcher! Krissy, Nick, and the crew took it in stride though as it's hard to notice the difference between 75 degrees and 100 degrees when you're next to the grill ... but the food sure looks delicious.

We were honored to again cater the VIP Tent for the MS Walk this weekend, this time at the beautiful NTC Park at Liberty Station in Point Loma. The MS Walk was extremely successful on Saturday, with over 4,300 walkers raising over $900,000 to fight multiple sclerosis ... thank you to all the walkers, volunteers, and the event staff of the NMSS Pacific South Coast Chapter for your hard work. It wouldn't have been possible without you!

Events: Otay Mesa, Del Mar, and Lakeside

Last week, we had the pleasure of serving the construction workers responsible for building the massive CalPine Energy Project ... this was our fifth safety luncheon with this amazing group of people, and we always look forward to their events!

We also had the pleasure of working with a new client ... a law firm who was celebrating a Staff Appreciation Luncheon with an island twist ... they even had a steel drum band which everyone enjoyed. We got rave reviews on the food, service, and presentation.

Then, we traveled to Lakeside for our annual barbecue for one of San Diego's most well-known and well-respected home remodeling companies. Ryan and Krista set the barbecue up in the front, and then we set up the buffet in the (not surprisingly) amazing backyard.

Events: Carlsbad x 2, Oceanside, and Jamul

Bar None BBQ was all over the county during the past few days. Late last week, we catered the City of Carlsbad's Employee Appreciation Barbecue at a lovely park across the street from the City of Carlsbad's Administration Building. The event had an excellent turnout and very appreciative honorees.

On Saturday, we catered the VIP Tent for the MS Walk in Carlsbad. The overcast weather made it very easy on the walkers and our cooks.

Additionally, we catered a few private events at homes. One of yesterday's clients wrote us a very nice note of appreciation last night after her event:

Hello Brigette,
The party was a huge success! We had so much fun! It was awesome! Bar None Barbeque did a fabulous job. I couldn't have been more pleased with the staff, the food, the presentation and the clean up. Everything you promised! Thank you ever so much!

Events: Food Pix

We're really starting to enjoy taking these pictures because we can include them immediately in this blog.

Today, because it's almost lunch-time and I'm starving and wishing that I were on-site to eat some of our delicious food at our City of Carlsbad party today, I'm going to choose my favorite food pix from the past several weeks:

Fruit and Veggies
Brats and Tri-Tip

Hot Dogs and Chicken

Time to eat something boring instead ... I sure wish I were on-site today!

Events: Hot, Hot, Hot Weekend!

We were excited to work with three existing clients this past weekend, one of which was celebrating her beautiful home's vineyard christening (see the aerial picture of her home during her housewarming at the very bottom of the Services page on our Web site).

Additionally, a favorite corporate client marked their move to a larger facility with a family open house that had an excellent turnout and good times were had by all guests and our staff, too:

On Saturday evening, we had the pleasure of working with the Ride for the Heart Leather Meets Tie Charity Fundraiser for the second year in a row at the incredible San Diego Automotive Museum ... we love this fun group and their choice of location!

Events: Thursday and Friday 4/10 and 4/11

On Thursday, we catered a luncheon in Carlsbad for a new client who is a leader in providing billing and customer care solutions. They had very gracious guests and we all enjoyed the beautiful (not too hot yet) weather. Here are some pictures of the event:

On Friday, we were honored to cater J&W Lumber's 50th Anniversary Celebration in Escondido which was a big thrill for us. We're happy to be celebrating our tenth year in business this year, but to be in business in fifty years like J&W Lumber is astonishing. Then again, the Jennings Family was an absolute pleasure to work with in the planning and on event day, so it's no surprise that their customers love them as much as we do. Congratulations to J&W Lumber! Here are several pictures from this wonderful celebration, including a nice close-up of one of their menu selections ... yummy bratwurst with grilled peppers and onions, which along with our tri-tip, was a HUGE hit:

News: Land Rover Miramar Bike MS Bay to Bay Tour

Bar None Barbecue is excited to announce that we've been chosen to cater this year's overnight and finish line events for the Land Rover Miramar Bike MS Bay to Bay Tour.

2008 marks our third consecutive year catering these events, and we're absolutely thrilled to be returning. This year, we will be closing October 9th-12th to any additional bookings in order to accommodate these events, to dedicate our full focus to this worthy cause, and to feed over 5,000 participants.

Please check out the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Pacific South Coast Chapter's Web site for more information about their dedicated work toward fighting MS, or click the link above to learn about the ride.

Additionally, we'll be catering lunch at the VIP Tent at Legoland on Saturday, April 19th for the 19th Annual Walk MS Event. Come say "Hi" if you're participating!
