Events: Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009

With 2008 drawing to a close today, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful clients for making our Tenth Anniversary year one of our best yet. We look forward to impressing our existing clients and serving our new customers in 2009!

Additionally, here are a few photos from our final 2008 events, including some nice closeups of some menu items like grilled white corn-on-the-cob and our veggie pasta salad.

Events: Rain and Shine!

Although we had some rain last week, Bar None Barbecue and our clients didn't let that dampen our holiday spirits. Instead, we implemented Plan B which means cooking under a canopy and serving the buffet indoors. We only had two events affected by the weather, so the other ten were able to enjoy clear skies which is quite a feat in December ... we're so fortunate to live in San Diego!

Events: Spreading Holiday Cheer in San Diego

From electronics stores in Mission Valley and San Marcos to the rodeo grounds in Lakeside and from a manufacturing company in Carlsbad to a 10th floor board room in Downtown, Bar None Barbeque catered almost a dozen holiday parties all over San Diego County last week. Here are some of the events:

Events: Holiday Parties are Underway

December 1st marked the official beginning of the holiday season, and we kicked off the festivities with six holiday parties this week. Here are some photos of some day time events, as the night event photos don't come out quite as clearly.

In addition to upgrading our commercial kitchen last month, we catered a huge range of events as well. From company picnics and safety luncheons to on-site tailgate parties and dealership barbecues, we finally have a minute to post just a few highlights of the celebrations:

Events: Cooking at the Farms

Bar None Barbecue catered events on consecutive evenings at Sweetwater Farms in Bonita last weekend. The lovely ambiance inside their barn with the surrounding park-like setting was a perfect complement to our country-themed buffet decor and -- of course -- our chuckwagon. Events: Balboa Park Special Events Committee

On Election Day, Bar None Barbecue had the pleasure of serving lunch to the special event managers from several Balboa Park institutions for the referral committee's quarterly meeting. Our host was Mike Rodrigues, Balboa Park Special Events Manager, and he showcased our services at an excellent event venue, the Balboa Club. Thanks for allowing us to serve your wonderful committee members, Mike!

News: A+ Rating from Better Business Bureau

Bar None Barbecue is excited to announce that we've received an A+ rating from the San Diego Better Business Bureau.

According to the San Diego Better Business Bureau, the "... BBB Ratings is a system based on 16 standards and is developed using objective information and actual incidences of a business’ behavior that are verified and evaluated by BBB professionals ... the grades represent BBB’s degree of confidence that the business is operating in a trustworthy manner and will make a good faith effort to resolve any customer concerns."

Events: 2008 Bay to Bay Bike MS Tour

Bar None Barbecue served 6,000 participants at the 2008 Bay to Bay Bike MS Tour 2008 this weekend -- it was our third year in a row catering the 3,000-guest Carlsbad Overnight Dinner, and our fourth year in a row catering the 3,000-guest Hospitality Point Finish Line Luncheon.

It is always an absolute pleasure serving such a great group of organizers, participants, and volunteers ... please check out the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Pacific South Coast Chapter's Event Web site for more information about their dedicated work toward fighting MS.

Events: Summer-Like Weather, Holidays Approaching

Over the last week, company luncheons have taken advantage of our gorgeous weather. It's hard to believe that the holidays are just around the corner when the thermometer is nearing 100 degrees, but please keep in mind that we offer three very popular holiday menus throughout November and December (in addition to our year-round menus).
